How to make Mulled Wine

Brrr its cold outside and we get it. So here is our fave winter cocktail to help you warm up and wind down after a long week at work. Enjoy a pot of mulled wine with a cheese platter and relax.


750ml Red Wine (Our picks: Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel or Merlot)
400ml Water
60ml Napoleon Brandy
80ml Honey
8-10 Cloves
3 Cinnamon Sticks
1 tsp Fresh Ginger
1 Apple sliced
1 Orange peeled and sliced (Keep the peel to add zest to taste into cooking pot)


  1. Heat cloves, cinnamon, honey, fresh ginger, water, orange rind and apple in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring to the boil, and then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add Red Wine, Brandy and simmer for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Strain and divide among serving glasses.
  4. Serve immediately with a slice of orange to garnish.

Serves 4-6 delish glasses. So enjoy with your besties, or keep it all to yourself. Don't worry, we won't judge!
