A little bit about myself
I like to think I always put other people’s needs first, especially in my role. I like to be organised, always planning ahead and thinking about the bigger picture and how I can achieve the perfect event for my client.
My experience in the hospitality and wedding industry
I started organising events at a young age, whether it was parties for my family and friends or for school activities. My passion for events became stronger when I realised you could do it as a job. I started working for a not-for-profit organisation helping underprivileged youths, organising activities and overseeing them when they volunteered at major local events. Overall I have over 12 years’ experience in the events industry, I moved into the hospitality industry 5 years ago, gaining experience and knowledge in operations especially weddings (having helped organise quite a few of my friends’ weddings as well!) and have grown into this role since then.
What do I love most about my job?
The fact I get to work closely with different people to achieve their vision. To make my client’s event or wedding a success is very satisfying. I also love that I get to work closely with our operations, kitchen and back of house team and when I get to try the chef’s new creations is also a plus!
