Chef's Corner - Brussel Sprouts

Brussel sprouts – extremely good for us yet hated by many. We here at HostCo love brussel sprouts and have several recipes up our sleeves to make our kids and significant others eat them too.  Here is one recipe that will change anyone’s perception - roasted brussel sprouts with pomegranate molasses. Brussel sprouts really can be delicious!

(Makes 7 side dishes)
 
Ingredients:
1kg brussel sprouts cleaned and halved
¼ cup olive oil
Salt & pepper
4 rashers of bacon
1/3 cup fresh pomegranate seeds
2 tbs pomegranate molasses
 
Method:
Wash than half the Brussels sprouts; lay them out on a tray with baking paper underneath
Sprinkle with olive oil and salt and pepper
Roast for at least 15 min until colored and tender
Roughly chop bacon and fry off
Place brussel sprouts in a nice serving dish top with bacon, fresh pomegranate and molasses
