Your graduation ceremony is a special opportunity to celebrate your academic achievements at the University of Sydney, surrounded by your invited guests and fellow graduates. Before the ceremony, you'll collect your academic dress from the USYD Store in the Holme Building. This includes a gown, bonnet or trencher cap, and a hood or stole — each representing your specific degree with distinct colours. The University of Sydney Union (USU) will email you ahead of your ceremony with instructions to book a collection time. Your ceremony will take place in the historic Great Hall and will run for approximately 90 minutes, featuring the presentation of your testamur and speeches from University leaders and graduates. Following the ceremony, you and your guests are invited to enjoy a catered reception in The Quadrangle, proudly served by HostCo. Relax, reconnect, and celebrate your milestone in one of the University's most iconic heritage settings.
